We started The Without List with a simple premise: the science on plastics, PFAS, and synthetic chemicals is still emerging — but the direction is clear. These things are likely doing damage we don’t fully understand yet, and we’d rather not wait for the proof.

We’re not alarmists. We’re just people who decided to take it seriously before it became obvious.

To put our money where our mouth is, we’re documenting our own transition — testing our chemical and plastic exposure levels before and after switching to the products on this site, and reporting back after 90 days. Real data, real people, no agenda other than finding out what actually works.

Every product on The Without List is independently certified or material-verified free from PFAS, BPA, phthalates, heavy metals, and a dozen other chemicals of concern. We don’t certify anything ourselves — we just enforce a standard and surface the results in one place.
